Slow first half leads to Lady Warriors 54-22 win over Naselle

WARRENTON - Naselle scored but three field goals in the first half as Warrenton blasted to a 35-6 lead at intermission on their way to a 54-22 non-league girls' basketball win there Saturday. In the first quarter Taylor Wasmundt and Kaelee Dearmore made buckets and Emily Green scored a field goal in the second period for the Comets only offense of the first half.
Coach Bobby Torppa said, "We didn't play well early against a very good team. We will need to work on getting to loose balls and shooting better, but I think that will come with more confidence. We are young and our inexperience showed tonight."
